Describing as a gentle giant Chilli is the biggest cow in the world. The giant cow is as big as a small elephant. Chilli is now 6ft 7 inch tall and weighs more than a ton. He has a black and white combination in his body and casts a shadow over his cattle companions who are about 5ft. Chilli lives at the Ferne Animal Sanctuary in Chard, Somerset. Naomi Clarke, manager at the sanctuary said that a farmer left Chilli to the doorstep of sanctuary along with his twin sister Jubilee in 1999 the age of six. The staffs of the sanctuary had noticed then that Chilli was growing than any other cows. Almost in nine years, Chilli kept on growing which help him to name in Guinness Book of Records.
The world’s biggest cow Chilli is massive when he holds head up. Despite its huge size, he is very friendly and gentle. It is just as well for his handler, Tara Nirula. She says that Chilli only grazes on grass during the day and enjoys the occasional swede as a treat. However, he does not eat very much and for this reason, he is quite leaning not fat like his other companions. People would always mention on how much bigger he was when they visit the sanctuary. Miss Clarke always said that we do not know what has made him so tall. He does not eat that much and his feet and head are in proportion. He is just very large.
The manager of the sanctuary and the staffs believe that Chilli will create a record for Britain’s tallest ever cow. Chilli is continuously growing until now. A representative for the Guinness Book of Records says she is sure that an application has been received for Chilli, which is presently under research.
There are other biggest cows in the world. The Field Marshal weighed in at 3,000lb is another cow rivaling for a record about a month ago. The Colonel is another biggest cow in the world. He is 6ft 5in tall and weighed 3,500lb. He died in 2005.
