The world’s biggest bowl of Bak Kut Teh became public on Klang Bak Kut Teh Carnival 2008 in Klang in Malaysia’s central state of Selangor. According to the Guinness World record it is the Worlds biggest Bowl until now. The stoneware bowl measure 3 feet (0.91 meter) tall with diameter spanning 6 feet (1.83 meters). It can hold 1,244 liters and weighs approximately 280 kg. However, it is equivalent to other 2,976 bowls of Bak Kut Teh which one usually finds in the restaurants.
The Malaysian Klang Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCCI) had collaborated with five Bak Kut Teh (meat bone tea) sellers in Klang to cook the world’s biggest bowl of Bak Kut Teh. The Meat bone tea is a Chinese soup commonly served in Malaysia and Singapore.
